The 2008 Financial Crisis was a very crappy time for a lot of people. The Big Short is the best film about what happened and does its best to explain it to the every person. A good double feature would be The Big Short, which highlights the people the who bet against the system and HBO’s Too Big To Fail, which explains the bail out and the faults in our government’s regulation (or lack of). I hope they never make a film from the banker’s perspective because well, I just don’t care out it.

I felt extremely sick to my stomach after watching this film. It makes you remember and hate the things that happened in 2008 from the foreclosures to the bailouts all while many bankers got fat pay checks. I honestly thought we would see some crazy trust busting on the banks and lots of white collar jail time. This film is a great telling of the situation and does its best to explain what happened to a general audience. Is it perfect? No but its still a great film to watch.
